Listen true, fellow congregants: This is a friendly reminder that Backerkit surveys will close on Friday, December 6th at 12 noon Eastern Time (ET)! You only have a few more days to finish filling out your surveys for the CULT OF THE LAMB: THE FIRST VERSE, so we can collect your mailing address and shipping information for processing in a timely manner and ensure that your pre-order items ship in December as intended! Be forewarned: Completing your survey after the Friday deadline may lead to a delay in processing your order shipment…so do it now and don’t delay!

After surveys are locked, we shall journey onward to our next adventure: fulfilling orders. Once surveys have closed, we expect the first wave of packages to begin leaving our fulfillment hub in Los Angeles, California on Monday, December 9th. Single issue and softcover packages will likely be shipped first, followed shortly thereafter by hardcover, signed hardcover, and limited-edition tier orders. Some specific Add-Ons (like other Oni Press graphic novels unrelated to CULT OF THE LAMB) may ship separately from your other FIRST VERSE rewards, but that will not affect your total shipping cost. Similarly, for the sake of extra security and extra-secure packaging, all original sketches and artwork by artist Troy Little will also be shipped separately at no additional shipping cost.
Once your package has been shipped, you will receive a tracking link via BackerKit where you can follow its progress onward towards its ultimate destination.
(Also, for those of you hoping to have orders in time for Christmas: We believe the vast majority – if not all! – packages will be posted before December 25th, but cannot guarantee delivery before the holiday.)
While you wait, there is more good news to share in exchange for your eternal devotion … As foretold by the Rite of Eight Forbidden Stretch Goals, every backer of a physical reward from this campaign is entitled to receive a gratis, DRM-free PDF copy of the complete CULT OF THE LAMB: THE FIRST VERSE graphic novel. Surveys have been deployed and, lo, our fellow cultists have been diligent in their task – roughly 90% of you have already completed the BackerKit surveys that went out last week. Good work! (And thank you, thank you, thank you – this makes our jobs exponentially easier!)

We’re also happy to report that the vast majority of previously overstated shipping charges have been resolved, and corrected shipping charges should now be available for review in your survey. As we mentioned in our most recent previous update, Oni and our fulfillment partners have done everything possible to keep the shipping costs as close to our original projections as possible – but, alas, they are still just projections and total shipping cost is calculated by the total volumetric weight of your order… Meaning the more items that are included, the heavier your box – or boxes! – will be, and, thus, the more expensive it will be to ship from the continental United States. Please note: This includes Add-Ons, as well, so if you’re purchasing additional items beyond your tier, there will likely be additional shipping due to the extra weight!

If you have not done so already, please complete your survey no later than December 6th, at which time we will be locking orders and initiating shipping charges. We need those surveys in order to confirm your mailing address and a few specific questions (eg, t-shirt size for applicable orders), so be advised: Completing your survey after December 6th could result in delayed shipping for your pre-order purchases.
