2025 sure seems to be in full swing, huh?!
Since our last update, we’ve unfortunately been dealing with the consequences of the ongoing fires in Los Angeles, California, where about one-third of Oni’s staff is based and our fulfillment center for this campaign is located.
As everyone likely knows at this point, the fires have caused an intense amount of destruction (and tragic loss of life) in and around Los Angeles, since breaking out unexpectedly late last week. Fortunately, our fulfillment center is about 8 miles south of the nearest fire, which is well out of harm’s way and under no immediate threat. But, obviously, warehouse staff and postal deliveries are being greatly impacted by the ongoing situation. No doubt some of you who have received tracking notices since last week may have seen a USPS notice on your item that says “delayed due to inclement weather” – some of those packages have already cleared and are moving again, but there appears to be a 3-5 day delay on all deliveries as they enter or exit the greater Los Angeles area as they circumvent postal facilities directly impacted by the fires.
In the meantime, we’re still moving as quickly as possible to make sure packages are packed and shipped as soon as possible. As of this writing, ALL Heretic Edition Slipcase Hardcovers are in the process of being shipped and are making their way to backers across the world! As those packages are picked up from the fulfillment center, you should be receiving automated tracking emails, where you can follow their progress in the weeks ahead.
Also, some more positive news to share: For all of the INCREDIBLY patient backers awaiting their Exclusive Hardcovers and Exclusive Signed Hardcovers, our manufacturing plant will (at last!) complete its final review of all of these units within the next few days, and we expect for them to be en route to Los Angeles for fulfillment by the end of this week. We expect to receive them early next week and have them shipping out to you all shortly thereafter – that’s our last and final batch of books to get this campaign to 100% completion by the end of January!
